About

The S.I.M.plify Healthcare Initiative was officially created during the fall of 2022, but had been in the works since August of 2017. Sandra Ilene Mabry Frick passed away suddenly on August 31, 2017, leaving her only child, Megan Frick, parentless at the age of 19. A college student at the time, Megan vowed to create a program to serve individuals like her mother who had limited access to healthcare and low health literacy to improve healthcare knowledge and decrease the occurrence of preventable diseases. It is that vow that led to the creation of S.I.M.plify Healthcare. The inaugural event to provide free access to health screenings, sports physicals, and resources to underserved communities took place on June 10, 2023 in which over 100 people were served in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.

“Thank you for taking the time to read about my story. Please consider donating or volunteering to help me create a legacy for my mother. I truly believe S.I.M.plify Healthcare events could have saved her life, so I appreciate your help in getting me one step closer to stopping preventable diseases from taking the lives of the ones we love most. If you would like to learn more, please do not hesitate to email me with questions.” - Megan Frick
